Missguided Mondays

Okay so it's not Monday, but my Missguided delivery arrived yesterday! I really cannot get enough of their clothes at the moment. It was only a small delivery as I'm saving for a super haul after my holiday has been paid for but the quality more than makes up for the lack of quantity.

I finally got my Weronika dogtooth check trousers and boy were they worth the wait! More of a tregging than a trouser, the super soft material is so comfortable and the quality is impeccable; to pair up with the trousers I bought the beautiful Lorindina pastel blue jumper. I love the pastel trend but I'm not one for throwing myself in the deep end but this jumper goes perfectly with the Weronika trousers and allows me to embrace the pastel trend without going OTT. So thanks Missguided, you've made me a very happy shopper!

The Painted Lady?

So I know blog audiences, such as myself, love to get a sneaky peek into the lives of the people that write blogs. I for one am one of those people, I'm a woman with an inquisitive nature...

I'm going to let you into a little secret of mine, I kind of have an addiction to tattoos; whether it be planning them, thinking of new ideas or actually getting the tattoo itself. Thursday gone I endured my longest, and probably most painful, tattoo sitting I have ever had: four straight hours without even a hint of a toilet break was a pretty good achievement for me and considering it was my 10th (eep) tattoo, my previous record was only a measly 2 and a half hours. I have to tell you though, it was so worth it. I still have around another 4 hours to go until it's finished but that will be broken up into two separate two hour sittings as although 4 hours is okay for lining, two hours is more than enough for shading. So my wonderful blog readers, here is the fruit of my labours....

Designed and tattooed by the wonderful Charlotte Timmons @ Modern Body Art, Birmingham UK. If you're not already aware of her work then check her out on Instagram @charlotte_eleanor88 She is insanely good and one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of speaking to. I'm already stoked for my next sitting!

I am so bad at consistency..

Sooo sorry about the infrequent posts lately! I have been so busy, spending my time between home and Worcester is proving to be such a pain whilst I finish my job here. Luckily I am moving back home tomorrow for good. The thought of which is a little bit daunting; I am so longer a student and I have to *gulp* grow up. Anyway, this week I have received a few of the much awaited parcels that I have been dying to get my hands on since I ordered them. Payday arrived and left almost as quickly as I spent the remainder of my money after forking out for bills, car insurance etc. on a few treats from Missguided, Pretty Little Thing and ASOS.

First things first, I worry that if I had never began blogging I'd have never discovered the first two but they have quickly become my favourite websites to binge buy beautiful items of clothing. The first package I received was from PLT; the 'so beautiful I want to cry' Alecia silk kimono from PLT along with their amazing Kinsley gladiator sandals which I have been lusting after for weeks.

My awful photography skills really do not do these babies justice! They can literally be style with ANYTHING! Be it cute vintage wash skinny jeans and a slogan t-shirt or a really pretty graphic print dress... they're definitely a summer staple for me.
The link is to the mint green version of the kimono, I believe the cream has sold out which I'm not at all surprised at. I also only took a close up shot because my aforementioned photography skills could not do this beautiful item justice. Tassled kimono's are bang on trend this season and I am so glad! Another summer staple, they can be dressed up or down. I'm going to style this with a basic strappy cami, skinny jeans and my Kinsley gladiators for a summery daytime look.

Tropical print is huuuuuge this season and these cute plimsolls allow you to embrace the trend without going too overboard. The print and fit are incredible (well done ASOS) and I am so excited to wear them. If tropical print shoes aren't your thing then they have an array of other prints from leopard, holographic and more muted, pastel prints.

So much nostalgia for jelly shoes!!! I am so happy that these little beauties have made a (long overdue) comeback. The vast array of styles and colours made it so difficult to choose a pair but I stuck with the trusty black, flat option. They are soo comfortable and have quickly become my favourite driving shoes as they're so light. I styled them with my favourite Fearne Cotton jeans and my monochrome striped top from New Look (via ASOS)

And to top it off, I bought the cutest t-shirt from ASOS! I have a serious obsession with unicorns and mermaids so this was a must-buy.

Yet again, my photography skills are poor and have failed to capture just how epic this t-shirt is. The colour of the t-shirt itself is a beautiful pale, pastel pink and I am very excited to don this with my vintage wash jeans and my Dockland plimsolls for a cute, casual daytime outfit.

I'm still awaiting the arrive of my latest Missguided order and the Rich and Reckless tee I've been blabbering on about for the last few blog entries. I also need to brush up on my photography skills and take a few more pics of how I've style these pieces so here's hoping the next entry is a much better one!

You Can't Sit With Us..

So I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of payday... still. I haven't really had much to blog about recently as I've not received any of the purchases I've made with the Bank Holiday weekend. I'm currently awaiting deliveries from Rich & Reckless, Pretty Little Thing and ASOS so I have a lot to thank the postman for at the beginning of next week. Receiving orders in the post is like my birthday and Christmas all rolled into one, it just gives you such a buzz!

My first order is the bang on trend slogan t-shirt from Rich & Reckless..

Slogan tee's are hot this season and I am so happy. I remember when they made a brief reappearance a few years ago and I think I might possibly love them even more this time around. These are custom order tees and I've been waiting a while for it to be despatched but it will definitely be worth the wait.

My second purchase is the Kinsley gladiator sandals I wrote about in my previous post. I've been eyeing these up for a while and I can't wait for them to arrive. I'll post about how I style them when they pop through the letterbox at some point next week, I'm thinking leather look trousers and my slogan t-shirt for a casual daytime look?

And last but not least, I bagged myself this cute Mean Girls slogan t-shirt from H&M on eBay for just £5 a while ago and it's my new favourite purchase. The size was a L (14-16) so it's very oversized but looked great style with my Fearne Cotton skinny jeans, my camouflage studded jacket from Topshop that I bought a few years ago and my white hi-top Converse. Please excuse the god awful kitchen lino, student houses are not attractively decorated are they?

I also have a few bits and bobs arriving from ASOS including the first pair of jelly shoes I've owned since I was about 7 years old. Lots and lots to blog about next week and many more OOTD's to show how I've styled my new arrivals.

All quiet on the Western front..

So I haven't blogged for a few days, I've been so overwhelmed with essays from Uni that I haven't even had time to think about anything other than work! It's almost over though, tomorrow is my last ever University hand it date *sob*. I'm really sad about this, I've met some incredible people during my 3 years of being a student but now it's time to venture out into the big wide world of adult life. Whatever that may be...

So in regards to any recent hauls there hasn't been any... I'm currently awaiting a payday to let my debit card loose on the likes of my new favourite websites Missguided and Pretty Little Thing. I've already tapped up a few items that I will be purchasing come next Tuesday, a few of which I've collated for you...

I'm currently, and always will be, a huge fan of grey. I know it's summer and I should be embracing the pastel and tropical trends at the moment but grey and monochrome will always be my all times favourite colours for clothing. The t-shirt is from the awesome Fearne Cotton at Very.co.uk. I have a store account (oops) with Very so I fortunately don't have to wait until payday for that little number. The beautiful cleated sole gladiator sandals are from Pretty Little Thing, another clothing company I have only just discovered since entering the world of fashion blogging. They look super comfortable and I can't wait to get my hands on them! Lastly, but certainly not leastly (?), I LOVE dogtooth check. These trousers from Missguided are fab! Since dropping 3st, I've become a lot more comfortable with wearing fitted trousers and I can't wait for them to pop through my letterbox next week.

Today I had my first interview for a full-time job and guess what? I got it!! So excited to begin working full time and having my weekend all to myself. Not to mention the extra cash to spend on my online shopping addiction. Luckily for me the dress code is fairly casual to in theory I'll be spending money on clothes I'll be wearing all the time, or at least that's what I tell myself...

Black Milk

Just a quick little post today! I received my first ever Black Milk parcel earlier this week, which I was soo excited to get. I can't believe how quickly it arrived! Pretty much everything about this Australian clothing brand is phenomenal, right from the order confirmation down to the finished product. All hand-made Down Under, some would consider them a little bit pricey but I think they're well worth the extra bit of money. Their collections are to die for! I purchased a GFT (feminine fit) t-shirt from their Batman collection which features Harley Quinn (my favourite Gotham Girl), Poison Ivy and Catwoman.

The cut and fit are fantastic, I was slightly worried I'd be out on the sizing but as a UK size 12, a Black Milk size Large is a nice loose, slightly oversized fit. The print is so bright and bold, definitely a statement t-shirt! If you're not already aware of this outstanding clothing brand then familiarise yourself and you'll be wanting everything! Check them out here, you won't regret it!

Today I Started a Blog...

Argh so I did it!! After months of debating whether or not to delve into the world of fashion blogging I have decided to take the plunge. I'm not really sure where to start but I shall try my best to post as much as possible; whether it be items I have added to my never-ending wishlist or items I have recently purchased. I'd like to describe my style in minimal words but usually what I wear depends upon the mood I am in on the current day so expect an array of OOTD's!

I recently discovered the wonders of Depop and Missguided, the latter of which I purchased my first order from a few days ago and received this morning. I had a few disapproving looks from my boyfriend as I squealed with glee at the knock on the front door and then as I cradled my brand new shoes like a newborn baby. Nothing beats the excitement of a delivery of new clothes, shoes or accessories and this delivery was no exception. I shall post the details of my mini haul tomorrow as I'm currently attempting to finish one of the handful of assignments I have left to complete before I am officially a University graduate EEK!
